So I'm here. You can stop worrying now I don't hate it.

I actually like it lots =)

Still no comp. I'm on mrsbadexample's. The dog is fine, I'm fine, my subwoofer is not fine. It broke in my luggage, BUT my Bose is fine :D

Good to hear that your and Jesse's flight went well and that you like things so far. Hope your computer is deal a kinder fate than the subwoofer since it's being shipped rather than uber manhandled like the rest of the luggage.

That sucks about your subwoofer.
Glad to hear that you like Ohio! (Personally I can't wait to get out of this state LOL)

Welcome!

Ohio isn't too bad, :K) I hope you settle in nicely. The Air Force Museum near Dayton is somewhat interesting (what attracts more people is the Imax theater they happen to have there as well).

'Mendelson's' isn't interesting to many, but it *is* a five-story warehouse of industrial/electronic/mechanical junk where you can find pretty much anything from those categories as long as it wasn't made in the last decade or so.

Flea markets, ranches, playhouses, small art-theaters, they're around.

Lots of furs up in Columbus, not so many around Cinci, and a sprinkling around Dayton. Not sure about the rest of the state...

The only big con to the state that I've seen is the extremely poor quality of drivers here. Turn signals? Speed limit (usually driving under rather than over)? I don't think even the cops here could pass driver's ed.

Handy tip: If you see someone in your lane pulling waaaaay over to the right on a surface street? They're not getting off the road. They're preparing to make left-hand turn. Probably with no signal. We call it an 'Indiana' turn here, while Indiana probably swaps that for 'Ohio'. Whee!
