Update - The art of Thornwolf

Update
Still no internet because I need a computer desk to put my computer on and Walmart is out of the model that I want (read, the model that will fit in my room). I'm using my roomie's computer right now cuz she's awesome.

So, art is on hold until I get settled and get everything else mostly unpacked.

Regarding shipments, my mom is making gradual shipments on items that people have bought so if you haven't received yours yet be expecting it in the next couple of weeks. I apologize for the delay, but she confirmed with me today that she will be shipping them out asap, she just can't do them all at once because there's boxing and packaging and stuff to think about too, but I assure you they will get there one way or another.

I would have done it myself but..yanno..no car for 2 weeks..and moving cross country, and everything that has yet to be shipped is still in San Diego. Never done this before, honestly didn't know what to expect.

I'm going to be getting ready to go to Europe/EuroFurence in the next couple of weeks. I leave for Germany for three months starting in July and will be back in October. This trip will be partly for pleasure but will mostly be a working holiday as I'm going to be using most of this time to work on the book illustrations, so consider me in lockdown while I'm gone. I really really really need to get those done. To break the monotony I'll be working on my remaining furry related commissions and won't be taking any other ones until those are completed. Sorry for the inconvenience but I don't feel I'm being unreasonable here given the circumstances.

Thanks for being patient you guys. I'm seriously up to my eyeballs in to-do's right now.

Welcome to the buckeye state. Fear the screaming heat of death right now.

God its devilishly hot. I've only been coming out at night because the heat just makes me want to cry! :O

At some point I would like to hang out with you if that's alright. Maybe when I get back from my trip? =)

Yeah I've been doing the vampire thing too, and splurging on our electric bill to keep the house nice and cool. Bloody third floor apartments!

No that's a horribly idea..oh wait no, I mean sure. ^_^ Let me know when you want too and we shall make plans. If you're amused by squealing gay boys "Dancing in the Streets" AKA Pride Day is at the end of the month.

I may be starting work soon so I'm not sure what my schedule is like but I'll keep you posted most definitely :>

And yeah, I don't really want to think of the electric bill right now. I've been sprawling out on the ground when I can to keep cool and taking the dog for late night walks, and that seems to help....a little.

THree window AC units, four fans, errph...our electric bill will be like Christmas..just without the happy. But it's worth it as long as I'm not dying of heat stroke.

Hurray for work! Wait..no that's wrong. D'oh.

See you at EF! It will be my first time in Europe, I'm very excited. :) Though staying at the actual con place scares me. :>

EEEEE YOU'RE GOING?! YAY!

It will be nice to have another American there who I actually /know/ :>
foxfeather From: foxfeather Date: May 30th, 2006 07:00 pm (UTC) (Link)
95% sure I will be there! Mbala and I are heading out to meet his family and do a bit of touring around Europe and we're signed up for EF. The only hangup would be if his advance parol travel permit doesn't go through in time, but we are sincerely hoping that it will. :>
I will know like 3 people there, heh! I am still trying to convince Mbala to get us a hotel nearby since rooming with random people would cause me to get no sleep. ::flails at the Europeans::

yeah Silber and I are still unsure of who we have in our room as well. Noooo idea >_> I told him I'm not entirely comfortable with strangers being around me while I sleep. Plus..bunk beds. Ew.

And yeah we're planning a bit of a Eurotrip too, first stop after EF is Rome, weather and money permitting of course.
foxfeather From: foxfeather Date: May 30th, 2006 07:38 pm (UTC) (Link)
Bunk beds are definitely eww. We have started a room group, do you guys have other people you plan to ask? We could try to get one together and maybe have less chance then of being put with random people. Random strangers = no sleep!

Rome, awesome! We were thinking of France, (and the Czech Republic of course) but I am going to let Mbala pick all the places, I've got a lot of things I'd like to see but I know very little of Europe, really.

I'll ask Phil today and see what he says. I have no idea what kind of arrangements he made if any. We have a room group as well but I'll see what he has to say.
foxfeather From: foxfeather Date: May 30th, 2006 08:14 pm (UTC) (Link)
Just lemme know. Drop me a line at foxfeather @ foxloft.com if you find anything out - if you guys don't have other plans it could possibly save us both from random furries, heh!
thornwolf From: thornwolf Date: May 30th, 2006 08:13 pm (UTC) (Link)
Well Phil said it's fine with him. Its him, me, and his friend Thomas (who's a very nice German guy) who will be with us if you would like to join up with us for one of the 6 person rooms. Either case, we would need your registration names for the room grouping thing. God the way they do these things is so confusing.

Will you be at AnthroCon?

Since I spent my first 20-odd years in Ohio, I know quite well the stifling heat and humidity during the summer, and the bone-crushing cold during the winter. Since you're away from the lake, it will get even colder!! And just wait for some of those fabulous summer thunderstorms.
thornwolf From: thornwolf Date: May 30th, 2006 07:14 pm (UTC) (Link)
Nah I can't afford to go to AC this year because of my Euro trip.

And YAY! I have extreme weather to look forward to.

....kill me now.

Being busy can be good.... and also bad, varies from time to time. If you're in europe for a time fancy taking a cheap Ryan Air flight to London? Be good to meet face to face.

Hope you find the desk in stock soon!
thornwolf From: thornwolf Date: May 30th, 2006 07:54 pm (UTC) (Link)
Eh I'm going to be sticking to the mainland really as Silber and I have a roadtrip planned. I don't have any plans on going to London anytime soon unfortunately. Sorry :C
