Your ACEO cards are so nice!! Me and twospotz have tried to send prints in the same size on cons for 10 sek each (1 Eur) and they are very popular!!

You gave me an idea to maybe try to sell small sized originals as well! Lots of inspiration!

and I love those wolves!

Okay, I finally got this figured out. And like Amara I've been doing these for years but had never heard the term. I started doing them while working on Collectible Cards games. We'd get blank cards from the companies that had one side with the regular card back from the game. We often made up silly versions of the regular cards and traded them around and occasionally did them for the company to give away as special treats for the fans. So are these ones just done on bristol cute down or something elese?

The wolves turned out great!

VERY nice! Your watercolor skills are FUN!

Of course, everyone will hate me (only half kidding) if I, too, start selling ATEO's on ebay, nein?

No way! You are Teh Awesome, Nicole! XD I am REALLY friggin' glad you are doing these, because you'd been sort of twisting in the wind for a little bit and I think these are helping you. You put a LOT of time and energy into each one! They're WAY cool!

As for me, I was just thinking of marketing them en masse...my style and the pieces that I've been doing lately are sort of pointing that direction...I'm already headed that way, and I can viably make a living for a little while doing it if I market it as I think I want to. I just know there was some hullabaloo about Redfeather and her ATEO's/snagging any idea that will sell, etc. that some people were unhappy about. (Which is fine for her to make a living with and all...and I know you can't please everybody. Dramadrama. :P)

Now that I think about it, though, what I want to do may not be too problematic, as I won't be doing just anthro/animal art. Which is GOOD, because I don't have a name in the fandom and people can be a bit snarky about "unknown" people (ANd "known" people, for that matter) running with ideas that others have had, as you yourself know because you originally doubted what people would think about you doing these.

I think, when all is said and done, though, that I am willing to give it a try and find out what the consequences will be! ;D

Yeah I was really burnt out, these helped and theyre not taking too much time away from my obligations BECAUSE theyre small and take about as much time as a refined sketch in my book really. It really helps to do something for myself, and if they sell, thats great, but if not i have a cute little collection of my own. Btw chack your email =)

Hey, I think I read somewhere, while you were posting these, that eBay charges $0.95 for each listing? Is this AFTER the item sells?
thornwolf From: thornwolf Date: August 2nd, 2006 08:07 pm (UTC) (Link)
thats correct and i have no idea. well find out though, lol!
mythos_amante From: mythos_amante Date: August 2nd, 2006 08:15 pm (UTC) (Link)
Ah hah! Yes, I found the fee page! I dunno..is it just me, or has $9.99 been around long enough that it actually LOOKS more expensive than $10? XD
thornwolf From: thornwolf Date: August 2nd, 2006 08:17 pm (UTC) (Link)
dammit i should have posted them for 9.99!
mythos_amante From: mythos_amante Date: August 2nd, 2006 08:53 pm (UTC) (Link)
