Playing around - The art of Thornwolf

Playing around
I've been studying renaissance art in school and it's reminded me that try as I might to drive my style towards classical I'm just not getting it, so I figured I'd do some studies of master works and then make my own attempts. Studies from Da Vinci, Peter Paul Rubens and Botticelli proved to be some good exercise. I'm really not happy that all my women's faces look the same. I need to practice that more but I don't know what specifically to do D:

Very nice!

It's funny. I used to hate doing master studies, but now I do them all the time, especially if you consider anatomical drawings.

I really miss Greek/Roman/Renaissance art. There was so much beauty in art then. I have thought more then once that I wish people still painted in that style.

Rubens is a gorgeous inspiration source for the more natural looking beauties of -all- time :)

Perhaps if you post some pictures of your women behind a cut some helpful people will be able to give you some advice on female facial structure. Plenty of artists watching your journal. :)
