Happy Birthday!
Since I'm flying back home tomorrow and wouldn't get a chance to say it, happy birthday katarina42!

Photobucket

Toying around with a simple coloring style I saw as a tutorial on a forum somewhere.

I like it. It's a nice look.

I also like the foxy bar wench. :-)

Ah, Katarina the wench. (Meant to be an affectionate term there, it's how I've come across her)

I never have gotten to know her well but she seems a sweet gal. Beautiful work.

Awsome work! I like how you've incorperated katarina42's work into the picture.

Any links to the forum with the tutorial? (if it's for art rage so much the better I could do with a few tips for that program).

Here you go!

I kinda botched a bit of it but it was my first time using this method. It's for Photoshop btw. I don't know of any tutorials for art rage I just kinda wing it when I use that program.

Thanks for that!

Actually I am kind of pleased reading that as I've already winged 70% of the tutorial already. Going to take notes though about the colouring of the line work and texturing though, and I am sure that I've done a slightly better job with the line work (currently I tidy a scan with a vector editor before moving it to a raster paint program).

Current weapons of choice are GIMP for raster work, Inkscape for vector and a wacom Bamboo fun touch and pen tablet as the editing tool. All this produced this [NSFW]first effort.

I like the look of art rage but it's bizarre to use after working with the likes of Paint shop pro and GIMP.

That turned out pretty good technique-wise! (I admit, the NSFW subject matter kinda squicks me but I notice the style and it looks good!) Lemme know how this tutorial works out for you. I might attempt it again.
