Been thinking a bit about my future regarding commissions. I have a couple I need to finish now but I'm not sure what people really want from me. This is just a poll to get an overall opinion of what people would actually consider buying from me sometime in the future if I were to put an auction up on Furbid. For awhile this will be the only way I'll accept commissions unfortunately since it prevents me from having the dreaded task of saying "no" =( I'm weak.

Thank you!

Poll #457292 Thornwolf Commission Types

Traditional sketches
1(2.6%)

Anything else not mentioned above?

I voted for character sheet...although I certainly cannot afford a commission at the moment...:(

Sketchbook

Well, what I'd do is the sketchbook idea. Where you send an artist a blank sketchbook, and for tons of money, they doodle in the sketchbook anything at random - reference drawings, silly crap doodles, serious stuff, anything, and when the sketchbook is full, the artist sends it to the commissioner with the trust that the commissioner will not use that artwork for the worst. The commissioner would have bought the sketchbook, paid for the sketchbook to be sent to the artist, paid the artist for the commission, and paid for the shipping and handling for its return.

Re: Sketchbook

I'd do that, but A: it would have to be a lot of money, like..$300-500, and B: they'd have to give me at least a year to complete it. I can be faster than that, especially if I take it to school with me (I do my best sketches there), but I'm not fast under pressure if they were expecting it like..in three months to the day

Re: Sketchbook

That actually sounds like a cool idea, if people wanted my art. ;P But I agree that it isn't very practical. You sketch a lot, so it's not as bad, but my sketchbooks sit around for days, and what if you put a really good drawing in the book, and you want to keep it, you know? Bleh!

Re: Sketchbook

Awww, pity, I think it'd kick ass to see you do that. Maybe somewhere out there they sell low-pagecount sketchbooks?

I said ref sheet because I currently need one very badly. o.x But I still couldn't afford one, sadly. Still, I think those would be really nice for those who don't draw but still have characters, or for those (like me) who just arent very good at refs. Also, my second pic is for sketchies that you seem to be so good at. n__n I love the funny ones especially.
