This is the one major deterrant I have with Cali.

I'm petrified of natural disasters, especially the ones that you can't guarantee some form of safety in. Earthquakes..be safe, be in a plane. o.o; But don't let the plane crash...
You OK?

yeah im fine, im used to these things. I just got scared because i thought it was my neighbor being rowdy. I like earthquakes when i know its in fact, an earthquake, but when i think its a truck or something else and it gets bigger, then I get scared cuz im all "wtf is going on?"

Earthquakes are no fun at all. I've had the misfortune of being in two, one being that big ass 1989 San Francisco earthquake that luckily I only vaguely remember. -_-;

It's only a matter of time before California breaks off the US to go hang out with Hawaii. XP

I didn't feel anything here in So OC. But I find I hardly ever feel earthquakes.

Didn't make it as far as the San Fernando Valley.

Hell, I'm at the point where it takes 5 just to make me look up from the monitor...

eep! Scary.

I'll stick to blizzards, thanks. (I live in New Hampshire. A blizzard is about as bad as any natual disaster's gonna get here.)

Glad you're ok.

This is why I like Iowa. The only thing I have to deal with is tornados.

I cannot fathom the ground shaking under my feet! *hugs*

Heck - I'd much rather be in an earthquake than a tornado. In an earthquake, things that fall do so pretty much in one direction: down. In a tornado, there's no predicting what the hell is gonna happen.

I, uh, felt nothing. (SF valley area)

Yup, we got rocked pretty good in Escondido. Which sucked as we'd only just gotten back to sleep after a 2.5 hour crow war which started at dawn.

I like how there have been scores and scores of small quakes on the samefault since the 5.2 yesterday morning.

shoka From: shoka Date: June 13th, 2005 10:40 pm (UTC) (Link)
I'm in Escondido (*in best Weasel Patrol voice* Aaiii!), just east of 15 around the Centre City exit.

And because you likely have no idea who I am on LJ, we met at Califur. I was the 4th person running around with calicougar, martes and furtech.

shoka From: shoka Date: June 13th, 2005 10:48 pm (UTC) (Link)
Yup. I wasn't sure if you remembered my given name (as I'm horrible about rememebring names myself).
thornwolf From: thornwolf Date: June 13th, 2005 10:50 pm (UTC) (Link)
LOL same here XD but for some odd reason I remembered yours right away, I think because I tried so hard at that con to remember who I was being introduced to haha! How cool though! I didn't know you were down this way =)

shoka From: shoka Date: June 13th, 2005 11:37 pm (UTC) (Link)
Hee. Good that the name remembering worked.

I knew you were someplace more or less local to me, which is one reason I was hoping to meet you.

yayez! We'll have to get together for lunch or something.
shoka From: shoka Date: June 14th, 2005 06:09 pm (UTC) (Link)
Yah, though if it's lunch, it'd have to be on a weekend. I work out towards the coast on weekdays. *grin*
