Poor critter.
Looking at the teeth, I see they don't mention foxes. That's still what I think that was. (I guess four feet long includes the tail? I've got a red fox hide that (if it had a tail) would be almost four feet long.

Say- what's with all the A-ha music vid stuff? (I loved that video....)

i think so too, or something close to it (hybrid?). that happened a while ago in the northern atlantic coast.. their "mystery hyena" was a wolfdog with an extreme case of mange and disease

OR ITS A CHUPACABRAAAA RUNNN!

Eerie, yet fascinating little critter.

I do recall seeing this- is creepy. I know alot of these pics came out when that whole re-animated dogs thing came about a few weeks ago- eek.

Poor thing. It looks like a jackal of some sort. Maybe someone's illegal pet that got away.
Jackal---> http://www.naturesimage.co.uk/pics/Jackel.jpg

The critter in this photo looks almost identical to the dead one...except I'm unsure of what the teeth look like. The teeth are going to look bigger on the dead one, cause the gums shrink away.

Weird animal. I'm sure someone will soon logically explain it though. This one was on the local news last February and had everyone - including me - going "WTF???" until the news finally revealed the facts the next day:

That's so cool, gotta love mysteries *_* Speaking of which, where can I find the other pics?

Aww...I remember that critter.
Interesting looking canines too; they seem exaggeratedly splayed for a canid. That tail is probably the strangest thing... I'm not sure what to make of it.

I'm going to say dog. Looks like a greyhound mix. However, you could pinpoint the species if they dissected it and took a gander at the skull. Definitely canid though.

Probably had mange and a myriad of other parasites.

That animal is actually better looking than the dog that won the "most ugly" in the world: http://samugliestdog.com/

WTF!? How horrible!
Could it have been a diseased fox or something? Poor thing. o_O
glddaisy From: glddaisy Date: September 15th, 2005 04:57 pm (UTC) (Link)
looks like an extremely diseased dog with major skin problems to me (it almost kinda reminds me of a rat or a hyena too though).

except for the lower jaw is alot shorter in length than the upper...which is weird O_o

Im gonna go with a diseased mutt.

but that is very interesting.

Freaky! Here's another link from the same website... http://www.unknowncountry.com/news/?id=4258 ... too bad they can't do any DNA testing.
