Public service announcement, take 2
There have been requests that I link folks to this entry so I'm just going to repost it here. Here is my book review of a really HORRENDOUSLY BAD character design book. Image intensive, as I actually scanned the choice illustrations for easy mocking.

I promise I'll have a better update later ;D

Onward to the badness! *click*

I loved that entry. By the way, the ugly flying guy with the stuff sticking out of his body looks like a horrendous ripoff of several old Iron Maiden record covers (Flight of Icarus, the Trooper, etc.).

What it should do is give everyone hope that they, too, can be published one day :D

I'm not sure that's a plus...

LMAO! That's for real?! omfg...who is responsible for that book o'crap anyway? :P

Too bad you can't return it for your money! No wait! That would mean that some aspiring cartoonist that doesn't know any better might come across it and actually take the book's advice! And what if they actually succeed in making a graphic novel or cartoon show in that style?!

"Presenting the adventures of Sperm-head man and dryer-lint boy!"

*shivers at the thought*

I ponder at the average age of the 'publishees'.

All though, it does make me feel better about myself. D:

It's amazing what small publishers will put out, hoping to nudge a spot in the market. If I were an editor, I'd have never allowed that drivel to be published as instructional, not unless it was a 'how not to draw' book. Ugh.
