Amuse Thorn yet again!
Okay so I'm going to ask this again. I'm at work, I am /bored/ and I need something to keep me busy.

Ask me a question. Anything at all. Really. *taps fingers*

Fortunately I won't be here much longer so I won't have to ask you guys to do this too much more XD

Current Mood: bored bored

Come on you can do better than that ;)

Why do I have to have class on Fridays? oh wait, not a good question is it? I'm sitting here in the lecture hall waiting for class to start T_T

Do you play video games? If so, which one/genre is your favorite?
thornwolf From: thornwolf Date: October 14th, 2005 04:54 pm (UTC) (Link)
I try not to play video games because I can get highly addicted. HOWEVER I currently play Unreal Tournament quite a bit. Before that my obsession was Mortal Kombat 2 =)

I like fighting games and first person shooters, but I also like those Disney Sega games. TLK and the Junglebook are my guilty pleasures ;D

I used to crosstitch a lot but I never finished anything. I would make my own patterns and they looked pretty good but I'd either lose them or get distracted into some other project. I also used to sew fursuit ears and make little costume accessories for myself. Nothing spectacular or worth selling but I used to dress up as an animal quite a bit and sometimes I'd need to make my own accessories =)

I would like to learn how to knit though.

What three bathroom/shower items could you never do without, i.e., you take these EVERYWHERE.

Re: So...

toothbrush, deodorant, makeup. The basics. I would say "leave the makeup" but I only wear it so I look professional if I'm going someplace that needs it like...work or something.

Aside from that I /would/ say razor but its autumn and no one can tell anyways >_>

So how's Painter 9 working out for you? Buggy? Good? I was thinking about upgrading but I have a feeling I'll miss all my Painter Classic 1 tools. ;)
thornwolf From: thornwolf Date: October 14th, 2005 05:23 pm (UTC) (Link)
I like it a lot actually! I used to have painter classic way back when I got my very first Wacom tablet (I think I was 10 or 11?) so its taking me a bit to remember everything but so far so good. I really need to play around with the tools a bit more and get a feeling for what everything does. Admittedly it was a bit frustrating yesterday when I'm looking for Photoshop actions in the painter menus ;P

Who is your all-time favorite movie villain, and why? ^_^
thornwolf From: thornwolf Date: October 14th, 2005 05:34 pm (UTC) (Link)
Ohhhhhhhh tough call! I /love/ movie villains. Ok I'll list a couple.

Steele - Balto: He just looked so freaking cool! Admittedly I had a bit of a toon crush on him ;)

Scar - TLK: obviously has a fan following but I love the way he moves. The fact that he was based on a barbary lion is extra brownie points in my book (although he doesn't look like one at all save for the black mane..ah well)

Bill the Butcher - Gangs of New York: This guy just has /class/. He's a villain you almost feel sorry for. Sure he can be ruthless but he plays by the rules and respects his opponants. Plus, the handlebar moustache really does it for me. *swoon*

Arless Loveless - Wild Wild West: This guy has a look about him that just screams "awesome". Sure the giant spider was a bit much, but damn, for half a man he sure can give West and Artemis a run for their money, that is really admirable. He's got cool fashion sense too ;)

Dracula - Brahm Stoker's Dracula: Not the old disheveled gay man Drac, but the top hat wearing long haired Drac. Oh my god...swoon! Plus he turns into a wolf and wears armor that looks like muscles so that is pretty sweet.

The Headless Horseman - Sleepy Hollow: Two words: sharpened teeth. :D I was really impressed with this rendition of my favorite childhood horror story, he's exactly what I would have wanted in a "monster" for this. Insane but intelligent.

Could you give me your honest opinion of me? Don't be afraid to provide helpful criticisms. :)
thornwolf From: thornwolf Date: October 14th, 2005 05:28 pm (UTC) (Link)
I honestly see nothing wrong with you. You are fun to be around, you make folks feel welcome, you're a social butterfly without being a snob. I love it! I /wish/ I had your social skills. In the book I'm reading called "The Tipping Point", they describe folks like you. People that collect contacts, so many that their address books are full yet they take the time to water their relationships and care for them so even though they have hundreds of acquaintances, folks can't forget them, and /that/ makes for good connections and a well rounded social circle. Very awesome =)

Trojans or Spartans?
thornwolf From: thornwolf Date: October 14th, 2005 05:30 pm (UTC) (Link)
Trojans. Spartans are too meatheaded for my taste. Plus I have a soft spot for Hector.

Amuse the Thorn

Do you think my car is cool or dorky?

Also, because I'm feeling extra masochistic, your honest opinion of me?
thornwolf From: thornwolf Date: October 14th, 2005 06:51 pm (UTC) (Link)

Re: Amuse the Thorn

I like your new car rather than your old car. The color suits you better.

You asked me this already. And I said "you're too paranoid, but otherwise fine" =)

If you could date any random superhero, who would you pick and why?
Who's your favorite cartoon character?
What goes best with guacamasabe?

There you are. XD
thornwolf From: thornwolf Date: October 14th, 2005 06:54 pm (UTC) (Link)
Batman XD I like the idea of the dark knight vs. anyone with superpowers really, he has cool fashion sense =)

Fave cartoon characters, well I like the Clerks cartoons, so Dante, Randal and Silent Bob. Aside from that I really like Ralph Wiggum from the Simpsons and Balto characters.

Chips go well with guacamasabe as does sashimi (raw fish) but I highly reccommend trying it on some kind of chicken burger, like a teriyaki chicken sandwich would be delicious with guacamasabe.

What is/was your most hated subject in school?

Since I'm rude I will give my answer even though no one asked ;)

Even simple math sometimes makes my head hurt. In school I actually "got" algebra but that's about it. I barely passed Geometry with a D, and I only took the bare minimum in college. Luckily with a film major they only make you take basic math LOL

Ironically both my parents are controllers (think Mega-accountants) and here I am with the artistic side instead of the analytical one :D
yay for genetics.
thornwolf From: thornwolf Date: October 14th, 2005 06:55 pm (UTC) (Link)
Math is the bane of my existance. I understand geometry just fine but algebra I have a hard time with. From what I hear you either get one or the other, never both.

Math is the reason I flunked last semester, i spent so much time stressing out over math that my other classes suffered

What made you a fan of Kevin Smith? >)
thornwolf From: thornwolf Date: October 14th, 2005 06:56 pm (UTC) (Link)
I had heard about the clerks cartoons coming on TV and I heard on the radio the movie that started it all, Clerks, so I watched Clerks and thought it was hilarious and then watched the toons. Unfortunately the toons were only on for a short period of time. Then I got into a group of friends who were all about Kevin Smith so I watched all the movies in sequence and the rest is history =)

Okay, a critical-thining question from an honors student >: )

What do you consider your favorite and/or strongest role here on the web, between being an artist, moderator, advice-giver, and a friend?

thornwolf From: thornwolf Date: October 17th, 2005 02:34 pm (UTC) (Link)
Truthfully, my most favorite role is "clown". I love making people laugh ;)
