Serious problem
I can't take living here with my mom anymore, but I can't afford to get a place by myself, especially in this state. Does anyone out there have a room they can rent for cheap that will allow a small house broken non-yappy dog?

At this point I'm seirously desperate. I can't afford very much, but please let me know what you'd be asking. I work from home for now but I'd need a place where I can stay for at least 6 months just so I'm not constantly moving out all the time. I'm quiet, reliable with rent and am not really messy.

Preferably somewhere in the west so I can drive there, but all offers considered

Please let me know ;____;

*edit* Yes I would be willing to move to a different state, yes this is pretty urgent, like...within the next month or so...and yes this is very serious =(

Current Mood: absolutely crushed
Current Music: myself crying

I know how you feel and I wish I could help :( I'd say maybe if I got this job at the SD Zoo maybe we could look for a place together, but it's only a seasonal job and I wouldn't want to leave you with a place you couldn't pay for at the end of the summer :/

at this point i don't care if I move to another state. I'm open to /everything/

Well I think Dreamaria and I are going to get a place, but it won't be til this summer (after AC specifically). However you're always welcome to move in with us then

In Oregon? I may consider it. Right now I need to find a place in the meantime just as a jumping off point. Oy. What sucks is I have a lot of really nice furniture but it looks like I may have to sell it just to lighten my load for moving unless I can find a storage locker.

Yep, yep :) We might go up towards Eugene, since there's a bit more there than Roseburg as far as stores and things to do and jobs. But I definately say go for it if you can find a place to stay until then. I know I'd do the same.

That does indeed suck :/ We had to do that with some of our stuff when we moved because the house were in now is smaller than our other one and so we didn't have room to put stuff and couldn't afford to keep renting a storage unit every month.

I really wish I could help. I'm going to need a roommate in the near future when I finally find the courage to leave my husband. But unfortunately that's not happening yet.

Gah. Sorry this is happening to you. I'm in the same situation except I can't leave because I'm still in school. If I wasn't and was a US sitizen I'd offer to rent a small appartment together. But I know this doesn't help at all now. x.x Best of luck to you in finding something!

I hope something works out for you. I'd offer but I'm on the other coast, you don't know me that well and I still live with my 'rents, too.

Good luck, though.

I'd truly love to help you out, but I don't think Warren would be cool with you sleeping on our couch for six months :(

Your parents seem to have real issues with your being a grown up.

*hugs* You know how to get ahold of me if you want to talk about it.

I have a room to rent. I'm the only guy in a 4 bedroom house in Oklahoma. I know you don't know me very well, I met you first at Califur '05 and saw you in passing at AC last summer, and... I live in the Oklahoma City area.

But, you seem sane, and I figure I can at least badger you into attending our growing con Oklacon if you did come out this way. Not crazy about dogs, but I could probably stand it for six months. ;)

Anyway, I know it sucks to be in a bind.

Ditto Bluewolf4's offer -- I'd be happy to house a non-smoking artist in my bungalo for six months, no problem. Further consideration is you've never met me and I live in Canada (Quebec). But perhaps Spacehyena and Hbruton and Lyosha remember me from C-ACE '05.

We're way, way out in NC, so that's likely inaccessable to you. I do hope you find a place relatively soon, however, it isn't healthy to feel trapped in your own space.

The only option I know of, unfortunately, doesn't free up 'til May. Hope something works out for you :-/

Oops..comment on later entry does not keep dog in mind. Couch surfing with dog can be done, if it's really well trained. My friend, Cat, did it, living out of her mini for a time and just travelling, camping, and crashing with friends, including me for a few days here and there.

if you are absolutely at the end of your rope you might consider the YWCA, of course theres no room for jessie there, but just a suggestion. I dont know how it is out there but here im MI they are about the cheapest place to rent a room. Of course you are welcome to come and sleep on my couch for free. the cats and the dog would get along ok after awhile and its only about 1200 miles from San diego to here. Anyway hugs and good luck.

That seems like it might be a good idea. While I'm not thrilled with the idea of moving to Ohio, at least I'd know someone I know I like XD

That might be a better idea for the long term >_>

I've seen some interesting suggestions. If you're uncomfortable going WAY east, my late-Gramp's house in Albuquerque will probably be up for grabs, if my older brother leaves and really goes to Germany. : /
