Belatedly...
Getting an image load on your art though still doesn't mean someone actually looks at it, when it's on a friends page. So directly equating loads with intentional traffic aimed at seeing your images doesn't compute.
On cuts, you never know who might accidently see your art doing something like a friendsfriends view or just finds your personal LJ through the communities you moderate or a comment you mage on someone else's LJ. It could be someone under 18, could be someone who's offended by any nudity, or it could be someone like me who's taking a quick read from work.
I think by doing the cut, you show that you're aware that nudity's not appropriate in all situations. Which is why it seems odd then for you to use that icon. If you are going to be showing a photo of a bare breast, you might as well uncut the images of nudity.
On filters: I don't think you can filter the friendsfriends page. Even if I could, filters are inclusive (add people to a filter), not exclusive (show my all posts from everyone, except person X).
Anyway, thanks for responding. :)
