Interesting Childrens Book Link
I wanted to save this link for myself in my LJ memories but I figured why not share it with everyone else for their own reference?

http://www.mikemotz.com/

Not only does this site show that its okay to have multiple styles for your customer to choose from, but it also gives you a step by step guide on how to make and publish your own children's book.

Fascinating!

"And a vision came to young Steve Irwin about what he should do with his life's work...rip the wings off of every crocodile in the known universe!"

Srsly though it looks like that.

A single children's book won't do much, you'd need a series and even then a popular series that people would want to collect for their kids. Cute artwork and even a good story won't really do it--especially when you go against publishing houses that can churn out the cutesy stuff by the barrel.

I always thought xianjaguar should do work on this sort've thing, though. Her style is really cute and would definitely be appealing to kids with the bright colors and fun details.

Oohhh thanks for the link. I've always wanted to write/illustrate children's books ever since I read Bill Peet's books as a child ^^
