My school started April 1st and I kept telling everyone "oh it will be just /so hilarious/ (only not) if my school was closed for April fools, as a joke".
It was closed yesterday for Cesar Chavez day, but I thought, surely it would be open today.
Cue a lot of really confused students standing outside Union Hall knocking on the door trying to go to their English classes only not being let in cuz, surprise surprise, ITS CLOSED! Well, not the whole school...
Apparently the English department got together (from what I gather it was just the English department, as the math department...my next class...from what I can tell is here) and decided to make a massive joke and close the one department for April Fools, just in the mornings though. My luck, it's my first class. >:(
I'm not amused. The dean is pissed, and they still haven't said if we're going to have to make today up by extending the quarter by a day or just assigning more work. Apparently he's trying to call all the participating teachers though and they're going to be reprimanded.
I'm sitting in the Student Union right now killing the /hours/ until my math class cuz my English prof decided to be cheeky.
With all the crap I've had to deal with this school and trying to get in, this sure as hell didn't make it easier.
*so effing pissed!*
Here's some photos of the campus with the April Fool's signs on the English department. I find it really ironic that the ENGLISH department of all people would misspell "FOOL'S" as "FOOLS'". I should seriously post this to mock_the_stupid. :P
Actually I /am/ at school but my English class went off without a hitch. Actually it got out early so I /am/ in the student union killing time. Obviously I have too much time on my hands if I'm picking on you poor folks. :)
