God Bless America
Hey Ma! Ima gonna make myself a sammich!

My stepsister, her friends and I went to Wal*Mart today. Oh the horrors we saw there.

This will be the death of our country, I tell you. One day we will have a potluck SO BIG that we will drown in gallons of baked beans and be crushed by mountains of potato salad.

Jesus H christ those are industrial sized tubs! I am surpised that the US hasn't drowned in its own fat rolls with stuff like that on offer.

You and me both. I'm surprised the leading cause of death in this country isn't choking on one's own moobs.

Oh my god! It's not just the stuff you're holding, everything behind you is enormous too! :O I am amazed.

Also, the phrase "Chunk Tuna" makes me giggle.

Oh baby I'll chunk your tuna ;D

And yeah totally, I felt like Alice in Wonderland: The American Remix

And all I can think is "GOD! That tuna would be so annoying to drain."
thornwolf From: thornwolf Date: July 16th, 2008 11:55 pm (UTC) (Link)
ROFL I didn't even think of that, so true! It would be like *dribble dribble dribble dribble dribble* *looks at watch* *dribble dribble* Honey take the skillet off the burner I'm going to be here awhile.

That shit was heavy too. Who needs that much tuna salad? I mean, yeah if you're doing a mondo family bbq but honestly, with the mayonnaise and other ingredients you put in it, the tuna to other stuff ratio considered, that's still way too much fuckin tuna!

Oh.. my... God...

As much as I love tuna, that's a little too much....

Egad! At first glance, I thought you were shopping at a restaurant supplier! And bloody hell about Wal Mart - my older son worked there for about 6 months because it was within walking distance and a good way to put back for a car. Hell. On. Earth. It's an ok place to shop about 7am, but after ten? Fuhgeddaboudit.
doodlesthegreat From: doodlesthegreat Date: July 17th, 2008 12:30 am (UTC) (Link)
And you just KNOW that there's people who were shopping there that very day who consider those to be single-serving cans. o_O

food tastes better when it's GIANT! BTW that can of tuna would last about one day at the restaurant where i work. although we wouldn't use nearly that much mayo.(also we use ken's "extra heavy mayo" good for salads and gear lube!)

I once saw those things - while performing kitchen duty in the army!

LOL! Well, at least if they need that much they'll be wasting less packaging for it...
Though I admit I bought a few gallon jugs of bbq sauce that way before. I was making mondo meatballs for a big outdoor function. I ended up getting a window trough (for plants) (I'm not kidding), washing it well and plugging the holes and making trough-o-meat. :>
