Thornwolf and Skorzy's Big Adventure pt. 1 - The art of Thornwolf — LiveJournal
Thornwolf and Skorzy's Big Adventure pt. 1
After what can best be described as the hellish week to end all hellish weeks, skorzy had the bright idea to invite me on a little impromptu road trip.

Behold the Cabazon dinosaurs! World's biggest dinosaurs (by design not by chance?) You will remember these from Pee Wee's Big Adventure, but since then there's been a change of ownership and they're used as the spokes dinos for a Christian group to explain creationism.

Come play with me, children! *fangly face*

Inside the Rex is a mini museum where you can find paintings of puffball cavemen and man-legged hair beasts. The inside of the "Bronto" is the worlds largest gift shop located inside a dinosaur.

The mouth of the beast (not as big as in Pee Wee's Big Adventure actually...)

More to come!

Current Location: San Bernardino
Current Mood: content content
Current Music: Danny Elfman - Breakfast Machine (Pee Wee's Big Adventure OST)

Cabazon, CA in Riverside County, about an hour east of where I live in San Bernardino. Basically: bumfuck nowhere on the way to Palm Springs

Don't we though? It's what great road trips are made of.

Why thank you very much! I have been losing some and have been trying to take better care of myself.

And indeed, that's what I love about where I live. And San Bernardino is one of those unsung awesomes :)

This is awesome :o I need to get out more, of course Oregon has plenty of these silly roadside awesomes.
Glad to see you are feeling better :)

You know all I could think of with this one http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e336/LOLThornwolf/CAB15.jpg was 'Meh, I've seen bigger'.

Ah-ah! Dinos!!! =D ... Anyway, why do they always find something to talk about religion? :P Even with old fashion dinosaurs?

Ah ... well! XD
BTW, the mini-caveman and Jeffrey's angry face are the best thing of this set of photos I think! :P XD

That was pretty awesome XD And I don't know, these dinos were originally just made "just because" but then a christian group bought them and have this whole "dinosaurs: by design, not by chance" campaign. But that also means they have knights fighting dinosaurs (which I will show in the next photo set). It makes for hilarity, not so much for the differing viewpoints which I can respect, but just how hilariously its put together!

I so agree. It's interesting to see people metaphorically put square pegs into a round hole and end up resembling conspiracy theorists. (Seriously, one creationist museum in Kentucky has Egyptians riding dinosaurs and made sure that Adam and Eve has no genitals)

ROFL oh man that's hilarious XD Yeah these folks were nice enough and honestly if someone explained to me their viewpoint instead of making a theme park around it, I'd be less inclined to shake my head at it. Kind of like that "Profession of Death: Psychologists KILL" museum the Scientologists put together in Hollywood. It has like, mad scientists pulling people's brains out and stuff, all just because they don't like psychology. XD But Scientologists I have less tolerance for anyways...okay..bordering on /none/ but you get the point :)

And lol no genitals XD My I guess for the first man and woman they wouldn't have begotten so many goddamned kids then (would make for easier reading anyways)
