Oooh, I've been wanting to go there forever! Any particular part you'd recommend? :P

Bombay Beach. This is where these photos are taken, and is the place where the San Andreas fault ends.

We went by there during part of our vacation last year. We actually ended up staying in Borrego Springs overnight. It was pretty in its own way, but I don't think I'd schedule a long stay.

Some future archaeologist will have a field day there, I'm sure.

Wow!!! Ghostly, skeletal fishes ... an abandoned, corroded boathouse and a salty, surreal looking beach; These are three interesting things. =D

I'd call this place "Memento Mori" (Remember, you will die) :P
Ihih ... It's beautiful ideed! ;D

Me, Zot, Khaiel and Jwoulf went there lat year...it was bizarre. A post-apocalyptic graveyard of salt-encrusted husks of fish and trailer homes. The entire area reeked of decay and the water glowed red with a cocktail of phosphates. Clearly, the end of the line.

My god woman, you have some of the most INTENSE landscapes within reach of where you live... I'm planning a trip to the US - tentative date around the end of this year - and I would just love to stop by and meet you, and see some of the sights. I can bring exotic Australian cookies! (We call them 'biscuits', or, more accurately, 'bikkies', because an Australian cannot see any word longer than three letters without trying to make up a short form.)

LOL I called Jesse's treats "bikkies" XD

And yes please by all means come on over! I would love to see you. Lemme know what dates when you get plans more solidified and I'll figure out where we can go weather depending. Bring a camera :)
