FREE FURNITURE - The art of Thornwolf — LiveJournal
Ok. I've gotten to the point where I'm just running out of room.

To whoever can pick it up/move it themselves, I am offering a FREE year old futon (the same one I was offering before) and a FREE dresser with a cabinet and drawers.

Salvation Army won't pick up up here. Goodwill has stopped furniture pickups. I can't move them myself. I've called numerous churches, no dice. I'm at my wits end, I need to get these furniture pieces out of here.

Good quality, free furniture to whoever can haul it! Email me if you're interested. I'm going to be going out of town on the 10th, so if you can get it before then, its a plus, I won't be returning until the 26th.

If no one exhibits interest here, try Freecycle? (www.freecycle.org) Generally, when you post stuff, people show up in droves to come get it.

Woo! I'm glad it worked! I've never used the community myself, but people that have rave about it. :D

Indeed! I just tried it and oh wow...so many responses! At least I have a few to fall back on if the first person doesn't pick it up.

I might be able to help you haul some of that stuff to the Salvation Army or Goodwill today, when I come to pick Kiwi up. Think it would fit in the back of the Element (with the back seats out, granted)?

We can take a look but honestly I don't see this futon fitting. The dresser is rather heavy but if the drawers are taken out maybe not so bad? I dont know though. Lemme get a pathway cleared and we'll see if its doable? Thank you for the offer :D

Alrighty! We moved our futon in the E, granted it was tricky..so we'll see. Also, what would be a good time for us to swing by and take that wrinkly monstrosity off your hands? :3

Lessee, is anytime after 3 too late? I only ask because I have a lot of phone meetings scheduled today on east coast time so I want to make sure I'm available for those if we're going to check out the futon thing.

Btw, are you afraid of spiderwebs? Cuz um..yeah I never really go in that room and the spiders have taken over. If its just way too creepy I'm going to try my luck with craigslist and freecycle XD I totally understand.

SpiderWEBS are okay, spiders on their own are okay, spiders on me are a little sketchy :) But I'm not too worried! I can always send Adam in first.

Sure, that time works well with my schedule.. I'll plan to get there around 3, which with Adam means 3:30-4:00. Lemme know if plans need changing!

Try the Boys and Girls Club. They are picking up stuff out here in Connecticut, don't know about Cali.

I couldn't get any charity groups to come pick it up...slackers. Seriously its /free stuff/ for the poor, good stuff too, you'd think they'd be all over that but so many people are afraid of our mountain roads despite them being well maintained.

I found some local lady to take them both off my hands though. Thank you!
