"Don't Think of It As Dust (Think of It as a Dry Shower)"

In case you don't get it, chinchillas take dust baths. Hurrrr

Also, its a Pig Pen ref. Ahem. Yes. I think I've explained this piece fully.

Will be available for sale at FC!

Thanks to goldwing for the idea :)

Heh, Pigpen.

I knew this had to be inspired by Shawn. Fun stuff.

BTW, along the lines of the last few quickie commissions you've offered, have you considered doing Holiday/Christmas/etc. cards? These could be all-digital, but sized so that it could be printed on 5.5"X8.5" format (cheapest way to print cards). I'd be first in line for something like that (the Halloween-theme art was so great!).

I don't have a lot of time unfortunately to get stuff that size done in that period of time (8.5 is actually huge for me to work at digitally and therefore takes me longer) and I don't want to not have it ready in time to be printed and sent out for Christmas, but if you wanted one for 2010 I can take it earlier and that way it would be definitely ready!

Those autumn mini-paints were just fine for this kind of thing: they would print out at that size and look wonderful. Even smaller would work, as you can print larger or give it a festive (festive!) border.

You could even do them like the halloween costume name badge pics you did: simple cartoony line art ala Sandra Boynton's Hallmark cards. Your work is effective in both styles.

Considering how late I am with my holiday cards (when I sent them), you'd probably still have time. That's why I always say, "Happy Holidays," inside: partially to be sensitive to others beliefs and mostly because then I have until Easter to get them out...

Still, for next year maybe it's a way to get some Xmas $$$!

Good idea, and I mean both the painterly and the toony things. I might just do this :) I'll see how much time I have after I finish up this last bit (I'm going to be offering winter themed icons starting Dec. 1, but I'm trying to finish up my outstanding commissions for the year) but if I do anything like this did you want me to let you know about it beforehand?

It all comes down to how much time I have for this year, but ultimately I see no issues with me doing it for next year!

Yeah! Lots of folks do proxy bids at this con. I just can't do it for obvious reasons but if you designate someone like Jeff they can, you just have to write a letter authorizing whoever to bid on something on your behalf I believe.
