Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!
Hope you have a wonderful and safe holiday.

Emphasis on safe, but also kind of awesome, check out this turkey frying video the local firefighters put together.

NEAT! But DEADLY! :D Just listen to Alton Brown's turkey frying tips and you'll be good to go.

Current Location: On the road in half an hour!

They did that once on Time Warp, the show where they show things in super slow motion. It was pretty awesome, and a little scarey

I love that show! Did you see one with the guy dipping his hand into molten lead? AWESOME.

No, I haven't seen that one. I'll have to keep an eye out for it.

My favorite episode I've seen was the one with the samurai sword, because I'm a sword/martial arts geek.

Note also that everything was done in an open area, on either concrete, steel plate, or gravel. The number of dumbasses who burn down the garage or worse on Turkey Day forgetting this is sufficient to keep construction companies and liability insurance claims busy through Christmas...

Turkey fires are serious business where I live because most people stupidly do them on their decks because driveways here are a luxury and everything's covered in dead pine needles.

( sorry about the double comment, forgot to log Skorzy out lol)

I'm probably going to get laughed at :( But I didnt know you could deep fry a turkey : /

This was a very neat video. And amazingly informative.

And Happy Thanksgiving!

It's good, but honestly not my cup o tea. It's too much hassle, and the flavoring only goes as far as the fried skin, so if you got a big boobed turkey you're out of the delicious fried part pretty darn quick and are just left with the boring hunk of meat. I'll stick to fried chicken, honestly.

I'm more a fan of brining the turkey so the flavor goes throughout. Plus, its a LOT safer :P
