Art that will be for sale at FC
As promised, an actual "scan" of St. Christopher. Pendants featuring this design WILL be available at my table! Again, I have limited supplies but if for some reason I run out you can always order one. Small are $20, large with hand drawn gold enhancement on the gold bits are $30. I'll see if I can photograph those later but it's raining and outdoor light is best, so, we'll see!

Btw for those who asked, this was painted on a plank of red oak, with acrylic, gold paint, and colored pencils.

Origins - glass pendant

I have one more pendant that will also be in the show but I don't currently have a photograph of it. Again, weather depending, hopefully I can get that done today.

LISTED AS NFS: "Knitting Needles". This is rather embarrassing for my show, but good for me, as I was offered an amount up front I couldn't refuse for this piece as part of an independent and ongoing project, so the new owner has allowed me to put it in the art show, but it is no longer for sale. I do have prints available at my table as well as 2 matted prints ($25 each). Sorry for any disappointment this may have caused!

Ok, back to packing for me :)

Oooh, I can't wait to see the Asiatic lion in person! :D

Did you end up finding a good sealant for the St. Christopher one?

I did but unfortunately it's too humid to spray it and have it dry. We tested it on a scrap piece of wood that had the same media on it and while it looks fine, it's just not drying, so I don't want to chance it with it being so humid for the next several days and not giving it adequate time to dry before transport. It really doesn't need it I don't think, everything so thinly layered I really don't foresee a problem. The best I can really do at this point is if it doesn't sell, wait for a dry day and spray it then, or if someone buys it, they may do so, but I don't want to run the risk of it smearing due to remaining wet with fixative for too long.

Oh man, that sucks! Do you think it's from the rain, or is it always that humid there?

Well, beautiful work at any rate. I'm sure the lack of a varnish isn't going to harm sales any, especially since you can always varnish it post-sale if the buyer wants it. Good luck!

It's /never/ this humid which is actually why I was so surprised! We're having some major storms out here, like crazy "once every couple of years" El Nino weather so at first I was like "OMG SUCKY VARNISH!" but then my bf informed me of the humidity factor and I read the label and it says "do not spray if humid" so...suckfest :P

Thank you! And yeah that's what i figure. If someone does buy it and they have questions they can always ask me on what i bought for it, or heck I might just bring it, depends on if I remember though, but it's going to be rainy this weekend at FC so that might still be no dice anyways ;D

The St. Christopher pendent I bought from 'ya currently hangs between my helmets on my 'riding gear' shelf. Couldn't think of a better place for the icon of a Saint who watches over travelers!

Awesome! I'm so happy you like it :) Just a reminder, it is not shower or pool friendly. I had a slight mishap with mine today as while I knew this, I am utterly forgetful. So, figured I'd pass that along ;D
