Muttropolis - False Advertising; plus bonus WIP sketch
Drew this while out camping a few weeks ago and its in my hardbound sketchbook and those are a PITA to scan, so apologies for the horrible scan.

We always hit up McDonalds on our way out of town as a roadtrip tradition, because we're never out of the house in time for their breakfast and those are usually pretty good as far as fast food breakfasts go.

Skorzy unfortunately fell into the trap of food photography. I knew it wasn't going to come out looking that good, but I didn't expect his Deluxe Breakfast to come out looking like it'd been chewed already.

I, however, was very smart and stuck with the very basic egg mcmuffin (substitute bacon though, cuz bacon is awesome).

A sketch based on a conversation with Westly and Tania. WARWOOFS! SO NOE-BULL. Also, my sketches are normally very messy like this. I really don't know how some of you sketch so neatly.

I love Nor Cal... except for the poison oak of course. Hehe.

I think the above could be applied to all Mickey Dee's food, more than once I've had an unsatisfying breakfast there but it's normally the only place that's open in the center of town that's cheap and quick. Thank god I've been avoiding it since starting this diet.

Also I am dammed sure that they have served me milk that's been on the "turn" with my tea before now.

Blah, fast food meals.... D: I prefer real food made at home. :)

Love the sketch. Clean sketches don't make them better. Sometimes the messy ones give you more of a feel of weight and shape.

Well, I also prefer meals made at home, but when you're on a road trip its kind of hard to flip pancakes and drive ;)

Ah, all you need is a griddle in the engine, stop ever couple mine, and fresh pancakes! :D lol.... Yeah, I can understand though.

That first one, I recall so vividly ordering the same thing for the first and last time. I want photoshop sunglasses that make my food look as amazing as I want it too. I can almost stomach it not tasting as great, but eye candy, yes plz.

And if the latter is what you call messy...woooh..well mine look like a hairball someone stuck to some paper.

I have an unfortunate soft spot for Maccas. Greasy, sugary, heart-explodey Maccas. I don't even know why; I KNOW it's crap as I'm eating it, but still. I like to sneak in a cheeseburger about once a week, if I get the chance. ^_^; Everything in moderation!

What on earth is a Macca? I looked it up online and couldn't find anything food related :O

And yeah, McDonalds has turned into road trip food for us. Its sort of a convenience thing but there was a point of time in my life where I would eat it 3 times a week because it was the only thing close to work/school when I was there, so I've gotten sick of it as anything more than a craving/road trip food (plus my fat ass thanks me for stopping).

Oops, my Aussie is showing. "Maccas" is just Aussie slang for "McDonalds". We shorten just about everything in this way, so if you remember that basic rule you will become a master at translating Australian into basic English. ;) Observe:

McDonalds = Maccas
Shazza = Sharon
Bazza = Barry
Aussie = Australian
Tassie = Tasmania
Brissie = Brisbane
Melbs = Melbourne
The Berra = Canberra (yes. Sometimes the short form has just as many syllables as the original word. Don't ask me.)

We also have this weird thing about opposite nicknames - for example, calling red-heads "Bluey".

Okay..I DID read something on wikipedia where "Macca" is slang for anyone with a Mc or Mac in their name, so that makes total sense! Lots of "Z" sounds you guys have

Here in Cali we pretty much abbreviate anything to initials, but mostly out of necessity because everything is a "San" in front of it or a "Beach" after it. So there's OB (ocan beach) PB (pacific beach), and usually SB is reserved for referring to Santa Barbara and not San Bernardino, which is simply called "Berdoo". Then there's OC (orange county) which is probably the only place I can think of where people refer to the county as opposed to a specific city. Cept LA and San Diego but that's because the county shares the name with the city so it's just all encompassing.

Ehehehehe ... that happens pretty often! XD BTW, recently, our Secretary of Agriculture decided to promote an internal (made in Italy) section of McDonald's fast foods: there you can find McItaly burgers with Italian recipes and products!!! ;D Ahahah, Sounds ridiculous, but it tastes good after all. :P

I like that Warwoofs sketch ... messy sketches are good! It shows your graphic self, my professor used to call it "Ductus". :)

On a side note: sorry if I don't leave many comments lately, I hope everything is OK; I'll try to contact you on Skype.
